This Ko Katana has a sharp blade of high carbon steel visible hamon line; its shortened form allows it to be easily wielded in tighter indoor spaces than the traditional long blade of the full size katana. The classic Musashi style dual-ring tsuba is crafted from iron and is surmounted by brass seppa washers and a brass habaki blade collar.

The grip is crafted from wood which has been inlaid with panels of genuine rayskin and bound in knotted black cotton ito cord. Brass menuki are fitted behind the ito cords in the grip.

The saya scabbard is carved from wood and is finished with a textured black lacquer and a black cotton sageo cord. Included is a cloth sword bag and a traditional Japanese sword maintenance kit with sword oil, polishing cloths and papers, an Uchiko cleaning powder ball and a brass awl hammer.
