Train year-round with the Smokeless Range® 2.0 with Short Throw High Speed Camera!  This shooting simulator can be used in conjunction with your own firearm (and SureStrike™ laser cartridge) or one of our recoil enabled training guns. Short Throw High Speed camera included for infrared and red SureStrike^TM lasers.  Just add a laptop computer, a projector and screen and you’re ready to go!  Ten assorted shooting drills included, and additional software add-ons available!  Easy to set up & very user friendly!  Practice Fast Draw, IPSC, IPDA, home defense or hunting skills with your favorite pistol, shotgun or rifle. Use the red or infrared SureStrike™ or any of our recoil enabled training solutions, to train like a pro with this simulator, which offers ten different shooting drills.

Short version – Short throw camera allows you to use a smaller space, like 10×20′ or easier when you plan to relocate the simulator often. If you have a large space like a basement or office space or can ceiling mount, usually a standard throw is plenty.

Tech speak – standard throw camera ratio is 1:1.6 whereas the short throw camera ratio is 1:0.5.  Which means, if your screen size is 10×10′ your standard throw camera & projector need to be approx 16′ from the screen. Whereas with the short throw, you can be approx 5′ away from the screen. Since the shooter would be behind the camera and projector, using the short throw will leave you with more space to stand using the same size screen.

Another advantage of the short throw is that it has an external filter that allows the shooter to use a red filter or an Infrared (optional, not included) filter to assist with harsh lighting conditions.
