This Russian SKS is a gas-operated, semi-automatic firearm engineered to be a military rifle in the 1950’s. It utilizes a tilting bolt action system. Integrated into each rifle are a 5-round magazine and folding bayonet. As one of the most popular surplus rifles in Canada because of its relatively low cost and readily available ammo, this rifle is great for plinking or hunting.

It was my first rifle and it is a lot of fun to shoot. Very accurate. Be ready to spend some time cleaning it from cosmolite before taking it to the range.
