Some shooting sports enthusiasts prefer earplugs to earmuffs. They’re lighter, less cumbersome, disposable, and can provide better hearing protection than most earmuffs. In fact, these Super Leight Foam Earplugs offer the best hearing protection for shooting of any single-use earplugs (33 NRR).
The polyurethane foam is molded into a unique bell shape to match the contour of your inner ear, ensuring long-wearing comfort. The shape also inhibits the tendency of some earplugs to back out of your ear, a real plus when moving through rough country in the field. With that in mind, the closed-cell outer layer is also designed to prevent dirt from building up.
