Henry Big Boy 45 Colt 20″ Lever Action Rifle

Description

Henry Big Boy 45 Colt 20″ Lever Action Rifle

Back when the West was still wild, a lever-action rifle in the saddle and a revolver on the hip was the loadout of choice for putting meat on the table, surviving the night, and serving up frontier justice to put outlaws behind bars. Though the West was tamed and fenced long ago, its spirit lives on with the H6 Big Boy Rifle & Carbine. Don’t let the vintage aesthetics fool you, though. These pistol-caliber lever guns are built to meet the expectations of today’s outdoorsmen and shooters.

At the heart of the H6 Big Boy is Henry’s legendary polished brass receiver, a defining feature that gives the rifle its unmistakable character. Available in a suite of traditional pistol calibers to pair naturally with your favorite six-shooter, these classic cartridges see meaningful performance gains when fired from a rifle or carbine-length barrel, making the H6 a versatile tool for protecting what’s yours, working around the property, or putting meat in the freezer.

The H6 Big Boy Rifle & Carbine is offered in several configurations to suit different preferences and uses. The rifle features a full-length 20″ barrel and is available with either a standard or large loop lever. The more compact carbine comes equipped with a large loop lever and a 16.5″ barrel for quicker handling in tight spaces or thick cover. Both configurations feature octagon-profile steel barrels as another respectful nod to the rifles that helped shape the American West – blued for corrosion resistance, polished, and finished with hand-filled gold rollmarks.

Magazine capacity varies by configuration, with ten rounds in the rifle and seven rounds in the carbine. Except for the .327 Federal Magnum and .41 Magnum variants, a side loading gate positioned just below the ejection port allows the magazine to be topped off without removing the rifle from the shoulder, while the removable tube magazine provides safe, quick, and convenient unloading.

To get you on target, the H6 Big Boy is equipped with a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with a reversible insert. One side features a white diamond to help align the brass bead front sight, while the opposite side offers a clean sight picture for those who prefer less visual clutter. For shooters who favor magnification, the receiver is drilled and tapped to accept a scope base.

Both the straight-grip buttstock and forearm are crafted from genuine American walnut and accented with polished brass barrel bands and a matching buttplate. From the smooth action to the crisp trigger, every detail reflects the care and craftsmanship that define an authentic, American-made Henry.

For those looking to experience a true piece of Americana whether at the range, in the field, or on a Cowboy Action Shooting stage, the H6 Big Boy Rifle & Carbine delivers timeless style and hard-earned performance. To complete the kit, pair it with the Henry Big Boy Revolver as the perfect sidekick.
