Consignment – Antique MAS French 1873 Revolver 11mm French Ord, VERY GOOD

The 1873 Chamelot-Delvigne was the first double-action revolver used by the French Army. Produced by Manufacture d’armes de Saint-Étienne from 1873 to 1887, it was eventually replaced by the Modele 1892 revolver. Despite this, it saw extensive use during World War I and was issued to reserve units in 1940. The French Resistance also made significant use of it during the Occupation. Both the 1873 and the 1874 models utilized the 11mm cartridge and the revolvers themselves were noted for their reliability and resistance.

• Antique Status: Verified by FRT as an antique.
• Year of Manufacture: 1874.
• Caliber: Original 11mm French
• Condition: Professionally reblued to a stunning blued finish, which not only enhances its classic appeal but also ensures the revolver’s durability for another 100 years.
• Mechanics: Functions in both single and double action. Occasionally, there may be slight resistance with cocking the hammer or during the double action pull. Weak hand spring.
• Bore: Good condition.
• Lockup: Good with some play. 
• Matching Numbers: All components are matching numbers.

• NEW: Not previously sold at retail, in the same condition as current factory production.
• EXCELLENT: New condition in every respect, though it may have been sold in a retail store.
• MINT: Appears new with minimal use, no noticeable marring, bluing perfect except at the muzzle or sharp edges.
• VERY GOOD: Perfect working condition, no significant wear on working surfaces/corrosion/pitting, and only minor surface dents or scratches.
• GOOD: In safe working condition, minor wear on working surfaces, no broken parts/corrosion/pitting that would interfere with proper functioning.  
• FAIR: In safe working condition but well-worn, possibly requiring minor maintenance, no rust, but may have corrosion pits that do not render the item inoperable.
• POOR: Anything not in “Fair” or better condition.
