KA-BAR Modified Tanto Fixed Blade Knife
The modified tanto is a reinvention of a classic knife design. The KA-BAR modifed tanto features the companies famous 1095 Cro-van blade. The knife also features a durable Kraton-G polymer handle as well as a glass filled nylon sheath. Made in the United States, the 1266 is a quality knife that can be useful for anyone.
The black kraton-G handle on the modified tanto is made from a durable polymer matrerial. Kraton-G is a synthetic replacement for rubber and features increased resistance to heat, weathering, and chemicals.
The included glass filled nylon sheath features superior durability, and chemical and shatter resistance
The Fixed Blade on the modified tanto knife is made from 1095 CRO-VAN Steel and features a Flat grind. 1095 CRO-VAN steel is an easy to sharpen, plain carbon steel used in knife making. Proven to be one of the most popular steels used in KA-BAR Knives. With a Rockwell hardness rating of 56-58, this modified shaped blade is 8 inches long.
Field sharpening the modified tanto is easy with its sharpened edge.
